The Tribal Committees and their purpose.

Cultural Arts
To collect, preserve and educate within our Tribe, the culture and traditions of Language, Basketry and Dance.

Education
To develop, implement, support and encourage tribal members to broaden and improve their lives through education. Assist with the development and oversight of scholarship programs in the community and within the Tribe.

Election Board
The Board supervises and conducts all Tribal elections including nominations. Oversight includes recommendations for amendments of the Election Statute.

Events/Planning
To plan and execute special events for the Tribe, this includes ceremonies, celebrations and all events approved by the Tribal Council.

Housing
Oversight of the Housing (HUD) grant requirements and Policies and Procedures.

Membership
Oversight of the Membership Statute and Policies and Procedures. This includes review and recommendation of applications for enrollment, incidents of dual enrollment or notice of a disciplinary hearing.

Personnel
Comprised of three Tribal Council members they oversee the Policies and Procedures and make recommendations for amendments, also screen and select employees and hear personnel appeals.

Sacred Sites Preservation/Protection
Works with other entities (federal, state and local) to protect and/or minimize impacts to our sacred sites within the tribe's service area of Marin & Sonoma County. The Committee anticipates educating interested tribal members regarding sacred site protection. Reports periodically to the tribal council on projects or related activities that require approval or should subsequent actions need be taken on behalf of the tribe in connection with preserving irreplaceable cultural sites.

SCHIP Health Delegate
An appointed Tribal representative for the Sonoma County Indian Health Project (SCIHP) Board, who participates with input and issues of health service concerning the Tribe.

Tribal Health
Oversight of the Health grant, which includes the requirements and budget.
